Plate Readers

The ICCB-Longwood Screening facility has six plate readers to read 96-well or 384-well assay plates: three PerkinElmer EnVisions, a Molecular Devices M5 and FlexStation III, a Wallac Victor 2and access to a Li-COR Aerius . All of the instruments read luminescence and fluorescence intensity assays. Additionally, the Wallac, the EnVisions the M5 and FlexStation III will read absorbance. The EnVisions the M5 and the FlexStation III will read fluorescence polarization. Currently the Wallac, and EnVision readers support multi-plate operations through stackers integration. ICCB-L screeners also have access to a Li-COR Aerius, a scanner that reads dyes that fluoresce in the near infra-red.
