Quantitative-PCR

Installation of the ABI 7900HT Q-PCR machine has been completed at the ICCB-Longwood. If you have questions regarding training and use of the Q-PCR, please contact Stewart_Rudnicki"AT"hms.harvard.edu.

Sign-up to use the Q-PCR machine

**Note: Due to the high demand of this instrument, you may only sign up for periods of 4 hours at at time including after hours and weekends. Please contact the screening room staff if you have any questions. **

Please follow this link to the ICCB-Longwood Instrument sign-ups page, the Q-PCR machine is located in SGM613.

If you are not already an established user of the ICCB-Lonwood Screening Facility (your Harvard ID is not activated to access the facility and/or you do not have an eCommons account) please email katrina_schulberg"AT"hms.harvard.edu and provide the following information:

Name
Lab Name
Position in Lab (e.g. Grad student, postdoc, research assistant)
Lab affiliation (e.g. Cell Biology Dept. HMS, or DFCI)
email address
telephone number
Harvard ID number
eCommons user ID (no password please)

Access to the HMS Quantitative-PCR Wiki

If you would like access to this Wiki you must first have a Harvard Medical School ecommons account with a name and password.

If you do not have an ecommons account please visit ecommons.med.harvard.edu first and see if you qualify for one. If you do not qualify for an ecommons account but would like to access the QPCRWiki, please email both Sean_Johnston"AT"hms.harvard.edu and Katrina_Schulberg"AT"hms.harvard.edu, and they will be able to sponsor an account for you.

The first time you log in to the wiki page it will prompt you for your ecommons name and password, this will automatically generate your wiki name. Please make sure that your wiki name is your first and last name with no spaces and that each name starts with a capital letter (e.g.JohnDoe). You may then request access to the QPCR wiki page by sending an email to Katrina_Schulberg"AT"hms.harvard.edu let her know your Wiki name. You will then be added to the ICCB-L QPCR group and, within a short time, you will be able to access the ICCB-L: HMS Quantitative PCR Wiki page at:
